
This is a great place, the wine is fabulous the staff was great, if you like reds you should visit. and FAY vineyards, and the celebrated CASK 23 and ARTEMIS Cabernets, it was a winner of the Judgment of Paris tasting. It is grand that this winery put California in a position of world wide wine recognition! After tasting the Merlot and a variety of others I could tell why this winery is famous and noteworthy. The wines are wonderful and all have a nice finish, but they are expensive. Both wineries are named after the Stags Leap district, which legend says was named after a stag that successfully escaped hunters by leaping across maintain peaks. Note the different placement of the apostrophe. Our server who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable (and gave us generous tastings) explained the difference between this winery and Stags' Leap Winery.
